1. Avoid Rinsing Spit
Your teeth will benefit greatly from fluoride. It’s probably present in the majority of toothpaste products found in your neighbourhood grocery store. You don’t want to forfeit the full benefits of using fluoride toothpaste while brushing your teeth to give them the best chance of remaining white. Therefore, do not rinse after brushing; instead, spit out any excess. When you’re done brushing, let the fluoride do its job!
2. Pay attention to the restroom!
You may not give this much thought, but it’s crucial to know where you store your toothbrush while not in use. Every time someone flushes, some of the sprays will fly out of the toilet and land on your toothbrush if you keep your brush a bit too close to the toilet. After brushing, it’s a good idea to put the toothbrush back in a safe location.
3. Sharing is not permitted.
You should be the only one using your toothbrush if you want your dental hygiene regimen to be completely consistent, regardless of how close you are or whether you are related. There are no exceptions. In addition to the fact that sharing a brush with someone might spread blood-borne illnesses and colds, you may also be spreading your germs to other individuals! Since no one is flawless, like your toothbrush, keep your germs to yourself!
4. Brushing is not an easy solution.
Have you ever taken an acidic or sweet beverage just before bed and immediately proceeded to wash your teeth afterward? You would be mistaken to believe that it was a good idea. Anything that is even somewhat harmful to your teeth weakens them, and if you brush right away, you can be removing pieces of your enamel. Toothache and heightened sensitivity may result from it. Rather, wait an hour before brushing with fluoride toothpaste for two minutes as your final nightly ritual. Read a book, watch your favourite TV show, or finish the tasks you’ve been putting off all week in the meantime!
5. Brushing too much is a real thing!
Although it is one of the strongest materials in your body, your teeth’s enamel is not unbreakable. Once more, brushing vigorously may seem like a good idea to give your teeth the best possible cleaning, but doing so might really cause more harm than good. You should definitely be firm with your teeth and make sure that every tooth is clean, but you don’t have to go overboard by brushing too hard or for too long.
